Bulgaria joined the EU in 2004. One of the main benefits of this is that as a UK citizen you are able to work, live and travel in Bulgaria freely.

The cost of living in Bulgaria is really low, for example a loaf of bread will cost you 0.40 euros, catch a bus for 0.35 euros, a meal for two 10 euros, a bottle of wine 1 - 6 euros. the cost of running a home is really cheap too, electricity is about 0.10 euros/kWh and water is around 0.50 euros/m3.

Bulgaria's diverse and fascinating landscape offers endless opportunities to explore from Alpine snow capped mountains, to gentle green hills and beautiful sunny beaches along the Mediterranean influenced Black Sea Coast.

Bulgaria has a temperate climate with moderate features which is characteristic for central Europe, with hot summers, long cold winters and very distinct seasons.
